International Legends victorious in Cape Town

Crouch, touch, engage! The sun shone, the crowds came and 116 teams competed to be crowned champions of Cape Town 10s.

There was only one winner, our very own team of International Legends featuring the likes of Springboks Legends; Butch James, Peter Dixon, Gcobani Bobo, Bobby Skinstad and Robbie Fleck, Aussie Legend Pat Howard, England veteran Chris Sheasby, Samoan greats Elvis Seveali’i and Zac Feau’nati and the All Black King, Carlos Spencer.

Competing against a tough draw including teams from the home club and previous winners Hamiltons, the International Legends fought hard in the final against South Africa Legends to win 14-12 with Butch James delivering the winning kick on the final whistle in front of 5,000 people. A great end to a fantastic tournament for the International Legends team managed by Legends Rugby Director Ian Dawson.
